Adaptive Sports- Certified Adaptive Recreation and Sports Specialist Must have 2 years adaptive sports coaching experience and Level II Certification.
Aquatics – Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute (ATRI), Aquatic therapy and rehabilitation practitioners Certification (ATRIC)
Amputee- 24 hrs of continuing education related specifically to amputees provided either thru the VA or other private sector conferences.
Assistive Technology Professional – Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA,) Assistive Technology Professional (ATP)
Cardiac Rehabilitation – Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) from AACVPR, Master’s Degree with Emphasis in Cardiac Rehabilitation, or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
Driver Training Rehabilitation – Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED) Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist Certification
Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist- Roy Matheson and Associates, Inc- Office Ergonomics Certification Program
Functional Capacity Evaluator- Roy Matheson and Associates, Inc Functional Capacity Evaluation Certification Program
Geriatrics – Masters in Gerontology
Health Coach – American Council on Exercise, Health Coach Certification
Kinesio Taping Practitioner- Certified Kinesio Taping practitioner (CKTP) and provide verification of ongoing use of kinesio taping
Multiple Sclerosis- The Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Center, Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist (MSCS)
Orthopedics- Post-op Rehab Workshop from VYNE Education or Master’s Degree with Emphasis in Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Posture Evaluation – National Posture Institute, Certified Posture Specialist (CPS), Egoscue University, Posture Alignment Specialist (PAS)
Research Specialist- A minimum of 3 publications as first author, with at least 2 being in a peer-reviewed scientific/biomedical/medical journal. To maintain specialist must have at least 1 peer reviewed publication every 3 years.
Seating and Mobility Specialist – Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA), Seating and Mobility Specialist (SMS) Certification
Senior Fitness Specialist- Senior Fitness Instructor Certification from American Senior Fitness Association
Senior Home Safety Specialist- Senior Home Safety Specialty Certificate from Age Safe America
Weight Management Specialist-American Council on Exercise Weight Management Specialist Certification
